Almora is a community without formal incorporation in Kane County, Illinois, United States.

The town of Almora began in the 1880s with the expansion of the railroad to that area. A post office known as Almora was founded in 1885 and operated until it was closed in 1910. While some earlier accounts suggest Almora was named after a city in Europe, a newer source suggests the name could have been inspired by Almora, a location in India.
