Argyle, located in Denton County, Texas, is a prosperous city and a suburb of Fort Worth in the United States.

In the mid-19th century, a handful of families from Europe established the first permanent settlement in the vicinity of Argyle, which was previously known as Pilot Knob or Waintown.Argyle can be found at a latitude of 33.116422 and a longitude of 97.185461.  According to the United States Census Bureau, the town covers an area of 11.4 square miles, which consists of 11.4 square miles of land and 0.04 square miles of water, representing 0.41% of the total area.

According to the 2020 United States census, the city had a population of 4,403 individuals living in 1,582 households, including 1,301 families.

The educational needs of Argyle and its surrounding communities are met by the Argyle Independent School District. The district operates five schools, including Hilltop Elementary (PreK-3), Argyle West Elementary (PreK-5), an intermediate school (grades 4 and 5), a middle school (grades 6-8), and a high school (grades 9-12). Argyle High School competes in UIL classification 4A D1. Additionally, Liberty Christian School, which offers classes from PK3 to 12th grade, is also located in Argyle
