Corinth, Texas, is a municipality located within Denton County, in the northern region of the Lone Star State. As a suburb of the bustling Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Corinth enjoys proximity to all the amenities and opportunities that come with being part of a major metropolitan area.

Corinth’s geographical coordinates are 33°8′38″N 97°4′20″W (33.143952, –97.072194), as per the data from the United States Census Bureau. The city spans 7.9 square miles (20 square kilometers), with water covering 0.1 square miles (0.26 square kilometers), which accounts for 0.63% of the total area.

The city was home to a population of 22,634 individuals, 7,208 households, and 5,965 families, according to the 2020 United States census.

Corinth’s public school system is served by two separate districts: Lake Dallas Independent School District and Denton Independent School District, each providing educational opportunities to students within their designated areas of the city.

In the central and eastern parts of Corinth, students attend schools in Lake Dallas ISD. Depending on their location, they may be zoned to either Corinth Elementary or Shady Shores Elementary. After completing elementary school, all students in Lake Dallas ISD progress to Lake Dallas Middle School and eventually Lake Dallas High School.

In Denton ISD, the western and northern parts of Corinth are designated school zones. The western area includes Hawk Elementary School, Crownover Middle School, and Guyer High School feeder pattern, with a few streets near State School Rd feeding into Nelson Elementary instead of Hawk Elementary. The northern area follows the feeder pattern of Stephens Elementary, Myers Middle School, and Billy Ryan High School.

Corinth is where you can find one of the two branch campuses of North Central Texas College in Denton County. The other branch is located in Flower Mound.

Most of Denton County, including Corinth, falls within the North Central Texas College boundary.

Prominent individuals include Dusty Dvoracek, who played as a nose tackle for the Chicago Bears in 2001, Josh Jackson, a cornerback for the Green Bay Packers since 2015, and Chuck Pierce, the founder of the independent mega-church Glory of Zion International.
