Glenview, a village that is officially recognized as a legal entity, can be found in Cook County, Illinois, in the United States. It is situated around 15 miles in the northwest direction from the central area of Chicago, known as the Chicago Loop. As recorded in the most recent 2020 census, the population of Glenview was determined to be 48,705 individuals.

According to the 2020 census, the village had a population of 48,705 people, with 18,058 households and 12,862 families living there. The population density was 3,468.28 people per square mile. In terms of housing, there were 18,933 units available at an average density of 1,348.22 per square mile.
In 1899, the village became a legally recognized entity.
The neighborhood known as “The Park” is one of the most ancient areas in the village. Situated close to the heart of Glenview, south of the Glen development, The Park was originally founded in 1894 to accommodate a religious community.
For a considerable period, Naval Air Station Glenview served as a significant establishment in Glenview. It accommodated several squadrons, including the Coast Guard’s helicopter service for air/sea rescue operations in Chicago/Lake Michigan. Additionally, it housed a squadron dedicated to East Coast antisubmarine warfare equipped with P-3 Orions. Presently, the naval air station comprises only two remaining structures: the pilot tower and the chapel. The remainder of the facility has been transformed into “The Glen Town Center,” a retail complex.

In Glenview, the Glenview Park District is responsible for managing the parks and park facilities. This includes overseeing two outdoor pools (Flick Park and Roosevelt Park), the Glenview Ice Center, two golf courses (Glenview National 9 Golf Club and Glenview Park Golf Club), the Glenview Tennis Club, Wagner Farm, the Grove National Historic Landmark, the Kent Fuller Air Station Prairie & Evelyn Pease Tyner Interpretive Center, the Park Center, Scram Memorial Chapel, outdoor skating and sledding areas, as well as numerous parks. Additionally, there are various public parks available for public use, such as Swenson Park, Cunliff Park, Little Bear Park, and many others.
During strolls in the Glen, the forest preserves, or The Grove, individuals may encounter white-tailed deer, as well as sporadic sightings of coyotes or foxes.

The scenic Chicago Illinois Temple in Glenview was constructed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1985 to cater to Mormons residing in Illinois and its neighboring regions.
