Heath is a municipality located in both Rockwall and Kaufman counties within United States. It is situated within the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area.

In the November 4, 2008, election, a proposal to alter the name of the city from “City of Heath” to “Village of Heath” was put to a vote. The measure was defeated, with 58.9% (2,069 votes) opposing the change and 41.1% (1,442 votes) supporting it.

Heath is located north of Rockwall, south of Forney, and west of Lake Ray Hubbard, which belongs to Dallas. It is about 25 miles (40 km) east of downtown Dallas by road.

According to the 2020 census, the city was home to 9,769 individuals, 3,109 households, and 2,736 families.

Heath is within the Rockwall Independent School District, where students attend Dorothy Smith Pullen Elementary School, Amy Parks-Heath Elementary School, Linda Lyon Elementary School, Maurine Cain Middle School, and Rockwall Heath High School.
