Pingree Grove, a village in Kane County, Illinois, has experienced significant growth in recent years. In 2000, the population was 124, but by 2010, it had increased to 4,532, and by 2020, it had further risen to 10,365, according to census data.

Pingree Grove is situated in the northern part of Kane County, with Hampshire to the west, Huntley to the north, Gilberts to the northeast, and Elgin to the southeast. U.S. Route 20 runs through the village, providing a direct route northwest to Marengo, 17 miles away, and southeast to Elgin, 7 miles away. The village is also accessible from downtown Chicago, located 45 miles to the southeast.

An earthquake struck Pingree Grove and its neighboring areas on February 10, 2010. The seismic event had a magnitude of 3.8 and a Mercalli intensity of IV (Light), causing tremors that were felt as far as 214 km (134 miles) away in Madison, Wisconsin.
